This office closes on Veterans Day and on Memorial Day, to honor those who served and those who gave everything.
Asking for your referral: what to say
At your next VA appointment, or through a secure message, tell your VA care team:
“I'd like a Community Care referral for chiropractic care. I'd like to see Dr. Nelson Goff in Indian Wells.”
That's all it takes to start. When the referral is approved, call Dr. Goff directly: 760-401-0341.
For the family
Often it's a spouse, a son or a daughter who notices first. You're welcome to make the call. Bring whoever you talk things over with; they often remember what you leave out. The veteran rate covers immediate family too.

For Veterans
Over the years, Dr. Goff has come to understand that veterans are trained not to complain. Often it's a spouse or a friend who says, “Your back has been bothering you for weeks.”
You don't have to make a complaint out loud to be seen here. We start from what's true.
Two ways in, kept separate on purpose
1. Through VA Community Care. This office never bills you.
- Ask your VA care team for a Community Care referral for chiropractic care. You may tell them you'd like to be seen by Dr. Goff in Indian Wells.
- The VA approves the referral and sends the authorization.
- Your appointment is set: VA or its community care network administrator may call the office for you, or, with an approved referral, you may call to schedule.
- Your first visit: the examination — about an hour, every test, so Dr. Goff finds out more about you than you know about yourself — and your first treatment the same visit, because your referral authorizes it. This office never bills you; depending on your VA eligibility, VA may charge its usual copay. Your next appointment is your results review: Dr. Goff reviews what he found and what he recommends, you take the written report home, and your visits are scheduled so you can work your life around them.
- Your visits are authorized in blocks. The VA decides how many. If you need more, Dr. Goff requests them.
No charge to you, ever, for VA-authorized care, including missed appointments.

2. On your own, at the veteran rate
If your referral isn't in place, or you'd rather not wait, you can be seen and pay for yourself at the veteran rate, for active duty, veterans and their immediate family.
Self-pay only. Not used with Medicare, TRICARE, VA Community Care, or any government-paid care.
This office is a community provider. It is not part of the VA and does not speak for it.
