Car accidents
The day after is often worse than the day of.
What you feel on day one is often not what you feel on day three. That's why an examination early matters, even when you think you're fine.
Who this is for: California car accidents on public roads.
Your first visit
Your first visit is the examination — about an hour, every test, so Dr. Goff finds out more about you than you know about yourself and your case has the record it needs. Nothing is treated until he knows what is going on. You pay nothing at this visit. Your next appointment is your results review: Dr. Goff reviews what he found and what he recommends, and you take the written report home. If you choose to start care, it is billed to your case under a lien agreement that Dr. Goff reviews with you, not to you at each visit.
What Dr. Goff does in these cases
- documents what he finds in the detail these cases require;
- tells you if imaging is needed and arranges the referral (imaging is done outside the office);
- writes the reports your case needs and sends records when they are requested;
- tells you plainly if something belongs with a medical doctor or a specialist.
What to keep, starting today
- your claim number and the other driver's insurance information;
- any emergency room or urgent care papers;
- a few words each day about how you feel and what you couldn't do.
